Axis Compliance Solutions Ltd
Axis Compliance Solutions Ltd is a new innovative Pharmaceutical Compliance Consulting House. We provide expedient, pragmatic, short to medium term Compliance solutions to Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Compliance Teams and their third party contractors, to address this challenging operating environment.
The founding consultant, Joe Kent, has over 20 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry in commercial and compliance roles with national, regional and global responsibilities.
Axis understands the need to be commercially successful in a compliant manner.
As the costs of drugs and healthcare provision are becoming more tightly controlled worldwide, the challenges to pharmaceutical and healthcare companies are at unprecedented levels. With these increasing demands, the ability to remain compliant can be compromised.
Generic erosion in the Pharmaceutical sector is another challenge. Furthermore, launching a new pharmaceutical product in the current rigorous, regulatory environment costs are in the region of $2.6 Billion (Tufts Centre for study of Drug Development, August 2014). In addition to this investment having a license does not mean public purse reimbursement will be automatic. The value of delivering brands to market in a compliant, ethical and commercially successful manner should not be underestimated.
Furthermore, global companies in both healthcare and pharmaceuticals face multi-jurisdictional challenges. For example, the FCPA, UK bribery act 2010 and equivalent legislations, mean that successful organisations need to have in place relevant policies and procedures to minimise associated risks.
Transparency under the Sunshine act, Loi Bertrand and EFPIA requirements for example have created incredibly complicated challenges for companies to accurately report spend to the relevant organisations. This is further exacerbated by cross border interactions (engagements with HCPs from other countries).
